Park City Mountain unveils upgrades for 2025-26 ski season

Epic pass prices go up on October 8

PARK CITY, Utah – Park City Mountain is rolling out a slate of new improvements this winter, headlined by the debut of the Sunrise Gondola at Canyons Village. The 10-person lift will nearly double the uphill capacity out of the base area, cutting wait times and offering more reliable access during stormy weather, resort officials said.

The gondola is part of a multi-year investment strategy to enhance the on-mountain experience. “Less time in line means more time skiing,” a recent press release said, noting the new lift is designed to keep operating even in high winds.

Other updates this season include:

  • Red Pine Learning Area upgrades, with regraded terrain to better serve beginners.

  • Kids’ Ski and Ride School enhancements, featuring a new magic carpet and a kid-focused dining area inside Red Pine Lodge.

  • Snowmaking improvements, with 2,100 feet of new and replacement pipe installed for stronger coverage.

  • Summit House redesign, where celebrity designer Jasmine Roth refreshed the resort’s oldest lodge.

  • The Orange Bubble Bite, a daily sweet treat offered at Canyons Village.

Beyond on-mountain changes, the resort is encouraging skiers and riders to lock in their Epic Pass before prices rise on October 8. Passes purchased before that date include six new Epic Friend Tickets, which give friends of pass holders 50% off lift tickets all season.

“We know how much this community loves welcoming family and friends from out of town and sharing the incredible place we call home,” said Park City Mountain Senior Communications Manager John Kanaly. “Epic Friend tickets make it easy for visiting loved ones to get on the slopes and experience what makes skiing in the Wasatch Range so special. Skiing has always been about more than just the turns, it’s a social experience, and Epic Friend tickets reflect that spirit.”

Pass options include the Epic Pass ($1,097), which provides unlimited access to Park City Mountain, Whistler Blackcomb, Vail Mountain and 39 other resorts worldwide; the Epic Local Pass ($816), which offers unlimited skiing at Park City with peak-date restrictions; and the Epic Day Pass, starting at $104 per day for multiple days or $125 for a single day.
